Description
I'm just starting to wrap my head around this whole cryptocurrency thing. I realize I'm a day late and a bitcoin short (haha), but better late than never, right? So the thing I'm just learning about now is bitcoin mining. Apparently this is the process of solving massively complex math problems using high powered computer technology in order to get transactions secured onto this digital ledger on the block chain. That was me paraphrasing the few articles I just read. Once a person or group mines a bitcoin, he/they are rewarded with payment - in bitcoin. But there's a finite amount of bitcoin so at some point the mining will be pointless. The whole thing sounds very abstract, which is precisely why I thought this abstract image represented the overall idea of bitcoin mining. You've got these digital pieces of gold floating around in a cloud of cyberspace until someone finds it and places it onto the blockchain. Is this the future of money? Will traditional currency be archaic in 50 years?
In any event, this image looks great on a phone case! Also check it out on the carry all pouch and the journal.
